Glamorous 40s crepe rayon evening gown with elegant, exotic detailing! Long lean bias cut crepe in deep black sets off a neckline accented with gold metal braided with teal and coral silk cording, Beads and gold threads create a striped effect above coils, dripping with tear drop shaped clear glass beads. Snug bolero goes over top with same coils and seed beading. Side metal zipper, From "BONWIT TELLER 5th Ave New York". One smallish section of fabric patched into skirt, scarcely noticeable. 40s gown of black crepe with vibrant red sash and train, bodice dotted with sparkling rhinestones. Metal zip up side, no label. V neck with shirred seam down center of bodice. Stunning, intricately embroidered black silk Chinese jacket from the 1940s. Short wide swingy cut with wide cuff sleeves, frog closures at neck and below bust. Weighted tabs tie below center frog closure. Gorgeous cranes and lotus flowers adorn the heavily embroidered design front and back, manadarin collar. Lined in pink silk. Dress has shallow V neckline, shirred shoulders above split flutter sleeves lined and edged with sheer black nylon mesh. Flowers are painted on, some painted and appliqued.....adorned with gelatin based sequins. Peplum is lined and edged with same sheer nylon as sleeves.
