Black velvet beaded 50s cocktail dress with shelf bust. Eleborately beaded with rhinestone accents, folded fabric edging creates shelf bust and wraps around to the back. Beading narrows as it goes from strapless bodice toward hem of skirt. No label, likely hand made, back metal zipper. Missing a few beads, no holes or stains. Utterly breathtaking vintage 50's dress.  BOMBSHELL cocktail dress in vivid turquoise by LEE CLAIRE. Sequined bodice with spaghetti straps sits above a fabulous origami-esque folded BOW on side and back of hip.....reminiscent of the work of Ceil Chapman! Structured skirt supported by its own crinoline of coordinating tulle. A gorgeous vintage dress!! Gorgeous all silk chiffon 50s party effect done in shade of grey in an ombre effect.Bodice is sculpted and layered with tiny pleats to dropped waist, skirt is a flirty full sheer grey chiffon over acetate. Metal zip up back, petersham ribbon within natural waistline to define figure. No label but superior construction. Tiny dot on left shoulder strap and small repair in back of skirt, falls within voluminous folds. Very faint underaram discoloration at very top of bodice under arms, barely noticeable. Exquisite vintage 50s dress in ribbed silk with all over print of bright, blue roses. Shelf bust with wide straps, self crinoline. Front center rose at hip level seems to have a little more purple in than the rest, not sure if thats intentional or a flaw. Inside bodice has coiled steel boning, one has been removed from the casing and reattached at an angle.....didn't affect the way it fit the mannequin, sold as is. Tiny orange dot to left of bust.
