I got my start selling vintage on eBay by selling off a personal collection of vintage slips! I've been selling there now for 4 years. I have a 99.9% positive rating in over 2000 transactions, with only one negative in 4 years, left by a seller rather than a buyer.
I've been less inclined lately to do auction style listings, so you'll primarily find an extension of the website concept set up as an eBay store....set prices, some accepting offers....usually close to 200 items available with few to NO duplicates between there and the website. Now that I have a shop there is SO much to draw from that I can keep all 3 sites offering totally separate items

LAYAWAY POLICY
Happy to work with you on terms, but the basics go like this.....20% down, 90 days to pay and we're set. If 90 days passes and my attempts to collect the balance are not responded to & or met, the items become available again for other shoppers and the deposit is kept as a fee for having the pieces unavailable for customers for the duration of the 90 days. I'm pretty easy going as long as you stay in touch!
Dorothea's Closet was born of a love for pretty things, inspired by days of dressing up in Grandma's closet. That grandma was Dorothea, and I am proud to say she had a large influence in who I am today....and in what I do as well. Because she was the inspiration for this passion of mine, it is her artwork & a snapshot of her from a photo booth that are recurring imagery on my site. Its my way of thanking her for showing me a strong woman could love & wear pretty things and still be a Mom, a Grandma, an artist, a gardener, a fabulous cook & an inspiration to those around her.
At Dorothea's Closet, you will find vintage clothing.....the best I can find. From as far back as I can get it to the early 80's. I focus mainly on dresses but offer separates, accessories, lingerie & men's things whenever possible. From the highly collectible to every day wear & everything in between....I love the things I sell & hope you will too!
I am a single Mom working from a small shop front or from home, not an impersonal large company....email me any time to ask for more pictures, details I have missed, even to look for things you are hunting for (I may even have it not yet posted!).
