Labeled "Pat Premo Custom Finished" Repairs to where straps meet gown (likely from hanging in storage), not noticeable but of note, no other flaws...appears never worn! Red carpet worthy glamorous 50's gown by renowned designer and fabled MGM costumer IRENE LENTZ. Luxe purple velvet skirt pulls up toward zipper where it folds into elaborate cartridge pleats on either side of metal zipper hidden by an enormous, sculptural bow that may be the very "souffle" treatment Irene was known for. Strapless bodice of soft white rayon is gently draped around top. Skirt is lined from hip down in same textile as bodice, labeled within simply "IRENE". Bodice is boned all the way around. Faint yellowing along very top of underarm, shown in pictures. A few flat spots on velvet of skirt and a grouping of small spots within folds toward hemline in back, scarcely noticeable. Soft coppery pink tulle and two tone pink taffeta strapless 50's gown with shelf bust by EMMA DOMB. Pale pink taffeta is layered with soft pink then warm, coppery tulle. Bodice is swagged with pink taffeta to create a shelf bust. Two shades of taffeta are draped a la Cinderella around skirt and accented with silk and velvet roses. Back metal zipper. Smashing gold lame' 40s gown with halter bodice and bolero jacket. Gown has a shelf bust and tuxedo lapels on halter neckline, full length with a slightly longer back. Bolero is collarless but shows collar on gown, slightly shirred at shoulders, peaked cuffs. Back metal zipper. Hand made for a local opera singer who says she wore it for many shows and occassions through the 40s & 50s! It has a few storage rust dots as the real metal fibers of this era's lame' are prone too, a few on the bodice around waist (as shown) and a handful of dots left hip of skirt. 70s channels 30s in this dreamy sundrop yellow chiffon gown with sheer overjacket bringing to mind the ethereal dancing gowns of Ginger Rogers. By "Lillie Rubin". Deep V neckline front and back, back metal zipper. Skirt is full and has rolled hemline to create a structured, floating-above-the-floor effect. Sheer jacket has hook and eye at throat and wide scarves to tie in a bow, leave open or in a loose knot. Cuffs have gold and rhinestone buttons. Dorothy McNab had a high end resort wear shop in Jamaica in the mid to late 60s, and pieces were carried at Bergdorf Goodman's in the mid 60s. Bright cherry red silk chiffon with bold tulip print laces up front corset style. Sleeves have sweeping bell shaped ruffled cups, more ruffles at hem continue the theme. Black silk velvet late 30s to early 40s evening gown with unusual use of what appears to be beading from a Victorian mantle. Fringed glass beads and half medallions around neckline, glass buttons through double buttonholes at cuffs of billowing sleeves. Missing a button at top of back opening (snaps up back with metal snaps), leaving for owner to decide what they like the look of best. Sleeves have double button "cuff link" closure.
